We left Derbyshire and went to London for three days before heading home. We stayed in Bloomsbury and so briefly visited the British Museum as well as wandering around this area. We also called in at the Natural History Museum to see the Baa Ewe Tapestry as well as strolling through Coal Drops Yard north of Kings Cross station. We also visited the Queen in Fashion exhibit in the King’s Gallery at Buckingham Place.

Egyptian Column in the British Museum
According to Siri - “This appears to be an ancient Egyptian red granite column with a palm capital. These columns, often heavily decorated with carved hieroglyphs, were architectural elements in monumental buildings and temples. This specific column is located in the British Museum and dates back to the 19th Dynasty, around 1250 BC”
